Cora is a girl on the move. Most of our photos are on the go!
Every once in a while she has a still moment, and I get to freeze it in time.

Baby Ayvah came a month early. She was tiny (4 pounds, 2 oz.), and absolutely beautiful. I got to visit her in the hospital when she was only 4 days old. Everyone is in love!
Back in November, the Pociecha’s welcomed sweet little Coragan to their family. It’s really fun, and such an honor to be able to document the changing stages in a family’s life. It really makes me giddy!
You’ll be seeing more of this cutie π
I am so slow at updating. My busiest month for family photos is November- and I’m posting this session in April! It’s so silly- I love my families, and this one is no exception. Some day I’ll get faster at sharing!
Here they are- the Totah family!
Grayson and Sami were so fun, I really enjoyed taking their photos.

We concluded our session with a photo of some very special guests. I look forward to our next ‘play date’ π
Every year my husband and I try to take our family portraits sometime between Thanksgiving and the first week of December. This year, I was uncomfortably large. We were anticipating the birth of our 5th child in December- so we decided to wait until he arrived. Well, he held out longer than I had expected, arriving on December 22. In ten years, I hadn’t missed sending out Christmas cards. This year, I did. But we did get cards sent out- they just said ‘Happy New Year’ instead π
I was pretty happy with our family portrait. Sure, Gideon is crying- but he does that.
The ‘big kids’ were super cooperative, and very helpful. Oh, and mega cute!

That’s our family. They bring me outrageous amounts of joy π
As a photographer, it’s very important to capture personality. Some clients are spunky, silly or sassy. Others may be quiet, reserved or serious. Hopefully you get a glimpse into a person’s interests, or a little idea of what they may be like when you see their portraits.
While Tobey hasn’t had many photos taken of her, it’s easy to see she is a natural beauty…
She couldn’t bring the horses to the shoot, but this fifteen-year-old wrangler knows what she loves.
Hopefully you get a feel for her sweet spirit and playful nature. It’s a joy to be around!
I’m currently up in Washington State visiting my husband’s family. While here I have had a few photo shoots. Remember my friend Val? She’s the one I did a maternity shoot for in February with my sister in law. Well, baby Lucas is almost 6 months old now!
We took a walk and captured some natural interactions.
Cyan and Logan played on a swing at a nearby lake.
Cyan looks so much like her mom. Lucky girl!
Even the rough and tumble need some mom time.
By the end of our shoot, little Lucas needed some mom time, too. Only Val could supply what he needed.
It was a fun time, with fun people. I always enjoy our visits!
My friend (and loyal client) Gwen scheduled a photo session several months in advance as she was really excited about her sister’s visit from Ireland.
Gwen and her husband, Gary have been here for several years. It was great to see the family together!
Kennedy and Evan got to spend time with their cousin, Charlie.
Kennedy was glad to have photos with her Auntie Brenda!
Have a safe trip home, Brenda and Charlie – and come back soon!
Could you imagine getting six kids all dressed and ready for a family photo session, while maintaining happy attitudes and a positive outlook on the experience? The Mays family did just that- and were such a fun group to photograph!
Usually there’s a grumpy one in a family photo session, but not these guys! Each child enjoyed their ‘star’ moment…
Little Shiloh was not only cooperative, but accommodating too.
Isaiah was glad to share his playful personality.
Most 8 year old boys are reluctant to have a picture taken, but Darrell was willing and helpful.
Takai has a beautiful smile, and was pleased to share it.
Sweet Jasiah. Cute, fun, photogenic.
Anjal was all smiles, whether the camera was on her or not.
What a great group of kids! They were such a joy to work with.
Here they are, the people responsible for this amazing bunch. Thanks for a great session, Darrell and Tamara. I look forward to more!
