I last got to photograph the Gothold family when they were announcing their ‘plus one’. Well, here he is!
Dad is a “Star Wars” fan and talented musician, so we couldn’t resist…
Mom is a librarian…
Tobias (Toby) is pure baby goodness!

Back in November, the Pociecha’s welcomed sweet little Coragan to their family. It’s really fun, and such an honor to be able to document the changing stages in a family’s life. It really makes me giddy!
You’ll be seeing more of this cutie ๐
Well, I haven’t been great at updating. I had a lot of fun doing this photo shoot- and it was 8 months ago! Talk about being behind!
Meet Alec, if you haven’t already. If you know this little guy, he is much bigger now…
When they are new, they are so soft and squishy.
We have to appreciate everything about their tiny little features.
His mom knows to give plenty of kisses, time passes so quickly!
Every year my husband and I try to take our family portraits sometime between Thanksgiving and the first week of December. This year, I was uncomfortably large. We were anticipating the birth of our 5th child in December- so we decided to wait until he arrived. Well, he held out longer than I had expected, arriving on December 22. In ten years, I hadn’t missed sending out Christmas cards. This year, I did. But we did get cards sent out- they just said ‘Happy New Year’ instead ๐
I was pretty happy with our family portrait. Sure, Gideon is crying- but he does that.
The ‘big kids’ were super cooperative, and very helpful. Oh, and mega cute!

That’s our family. They bring me outrageous amounts of joy ๐
I’ve had the privilege of photographing some very memorable events for the Olds family. Every time they call to schedule portraits, I’m beyond excited.
Recently, they added a new member to the family. At this photo session, we took a few pictures to document her 3 month birthday…
She is such a sweet baby, and SO happy!
I really enjoy capturing milestones in every families lives. I’m so grateful this family has allowed me to be a part of so many special occasions!
Every time I’m pregnant, I think about taking portraits. This time around, I got serious. This will likely be our last- no more chances to say ‘next time’! I’m used to taking the photos- I thought this might be tricky… so I called my sister for help.
I positioned and set the lights. My sister directed me on body placement and angled the camera. A very special ‘Thanks!’ to her for making this a reality rather than a missed opportunity!
When taking maternity portraits, I usually tell moms the ideal time frame is between 30-35 weeks. That’s when the belly is big enough to be dramatic, but usually before too much swelling or discomfort is happening. In my case, we took these when I was 29.5 weeks. Clearly my belly was not hiding!
Our FIFTH baby is on his way, and we are just as excited as the first time. I can’t wait to meet him and enjoy holding him on the OUTSIDE!
I had a really great time working with Sarah Dawn Photography while up in Washington state. We had the joy of freezing a few sweet moments in time.
Little Alia was so cooperative!
I think she was having as much fun as we were…
Meeting her mom and dad was just as much fun. Such dedicated and loving parents- and musically gifted, too.
The guitar wasn’t just for show. Sarah and I were enjoying the music as we tried distracting Alia from the print on her dress. Really, she was enamored with her dress- we had to reposition her so she couldn’t keep grabbing it and covering her precious little face! I look forward to working with Sarah again, and watching Alia grow!
