One On The Way

I always love the opportunity to photograph the beauty of pregnancy. In my personal experience, it’s not easy to grow a little human inside your body, but so worth it! Nicole is growing her third, and looking good the whole time!

When many of us think of pregnancy, joyful and exciting things come to mind- along with a few not-so-exciting things…. stretch marks, swelling… Nicole seems to have been blessed with ideal genes. Smooth, glowing skin without a mark on it!

I look forward to the arrival of Nicole’s little guy, such exciting times to come!

Tobey

As a photographer, it’s very important to capture personality. Some clients are spunky, silly or sassy. Others may be quiet, reserved or serious. Hopefully you get a glimpse into a person’s interests, or a little idea of what they may be like when you see their portraits.

While Tobey hasn’t had many photos taken of her, it’s easy to see she is a natural beauty…

She couldn’t bring the horses to the shoot, but this fifteen-year-old wrangler knows what she loves.

Hopefully you get a feel for her sweet spirit and playful nature. It’s a joy to be around!

Rose Family

I’m currently up in Washington State visiting my husband’s family. While here I have had a few photo shoots. Remember my friend Val? She’s the one I did a maternity shoot for in February with my sister in law. Well, baby Lucas is almost 6 months old now!

We took a walk and captured some natural interactions.

Cyan looks so much like her mom. Lucky girl!

Even the rough and tumble need some mom time.

By the end of our shoot, little Lucas needed some mom time, too. Only Val could supply what he needed.

It was a fun time, with fun people. I always enjoy our visits!

…Still Waiting…

Back in February we were up in Washington state visiting friends and family. My friend Val was due to have her 4th baby prior to our arrival.

She was feeling discouraged each day that passed with no sign of arrival. Pregnancy is hard work. My sister-in-law, also a photographer (www.sarahdawnphotography.com), and I decided to ambush her with a surprise photo shoot.

Val past due

In the midst of extreme discomfort, anticipation and discouragement, Val couldn’t fully embrace how amazing she looked. Sarah and I wanted to change that…

Baby Lucas did arrive, of course. At 9.9 pounds and 22.5 inches, Val had every reason to be uncomfortable! Congratulations on a job ‘well done’!
